Cuban meteorologist Raydel Ruisánchez provided some encouraging news on Sunday, stating that despite being in the most critical phase of the hurricane season, no tropical cyclones are expected to develop in the coming week. He shared this update on his Facebook account, detailing how the tropical wave moving across the Atlantic has lost its development potential due to unfavorable conditions.

However, Ruisánchez cautioned that this period of calm might be short-lived, as the hurricane season remains active and other systems could emerge later. "It's crucial to stay informed and always check the date and source of information to prevent misinformation and unnecessary alarm," he advised.

The Atlantic hurricane season spans from June 1 to November 30, with September often seeing the highest number of events. For now, this news provides a breather for Cuba and the Caribbean, following weeks of intense weather monitoring.

This positive update comes shortly after experts warned of a broad area of low pressure linked to a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic, which had meteorologists on alert due to its high potential to evolve into a depression or tropical storm in the coming days and head toward the Caribbean.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported on Friday that the system, labeled AL91, was located in the eastern tropical Atlantic and was causing a disorganized cluster of showers and thunderstorms.
