On Tuesday, Univision journalist Javier Díaz reported that Alfredo Carballo González, the primary suspect in the murder of Cuban national Daylon Fleitas, remains on the run with his wife and their five-month-old infant. This situation persists despite the weeks that have passed since the crime that shocked the Hialeah community.

According to Díaz's Facebook post, Carballo, aged 32, entered the United States through the border under an I-220A immigration status. He is being sought by authorities as the main perpetrator in the death of 37-year-old Fleitas, whose body was discovered inside a container in a wooded section of the Everglades on August 9th.

Accompanying Carballo is his partner, Ariely Álvarez Cabrera, 27, along with their child, whose safety might be at risk, as warned by the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office. The police have repeatedly emphasized that the suspects should be considered "armed and dangerous."

Chilling Details of the Crime

Surveillance footage obtained by Noticias 23 reveals that Fleitas was assaulted on the day he disappeared, August 3rd, while attempting to collect a $10,000 debt from Carballo. The video captures the suspect dragging the victim to a recycling container and loading it into Fleitas's own truck.

The Cuban man's Ford F-150 was found abandoned, stained with blood and containing incriminating evidence. A few days later, Fleitas's body was discovered in the container, bearing multiple stab wounds.

Community's Response and Police Alert

The case has not only disturbed the community due to its violent nature but also because the alleged offenders are fleeing with a young child. The police have maintained a high alert and have called upon the public for any information that might lead to the capture of the fugitives.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers anonymously at 305-471-8477.
