A motorcyclist sustained injuries on Wednesday morning following a collision at the busy intersection of Paseo and Calzada in El Vedado, within the Plaza de la Revolución municipality. The incident was reported by Raumar Ramos on the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!" A pickup truck collided with the motorcycle, resulting in the rider being transported to a hospital with head injuries.

The shared images depict the motorcycle almost completely wedged beneath the truck, which also shows visible damage to its front end. Some comments suggested that the motorcycle was traveling down Paseo while the truck was heading along Calzada, with excessive speed potentially playing a role in the severity of the crash.

The photos indicate that the impact was strong enough to drag the motorcycle several meters into 7th Street. A family man pointed out that this type of truck has a particularly wide windshield pillar, which can obscure motorcycles from view. "You have to be careful because the motorcycles can be hidden by the column, and riders often aren't aware of that and confidently pass in front," he remarked.

Online commenters noted that while there is a STOP sign at this intersection, there are no traffic lights, which might have contributed to the accident.
