Sweet Havana Carnival 2025 in Kentucky: Louisville's Most Exciting Event of the Year

The Sweet Havana Carnival 2025 transformed downtown Louisville, Kentucky, into a lively slice of Cuba over the past weekend. With a huge turnout and an atmosphere brimming with music, flavor, and joy, many hailed the event as "the best of the year" in the city.

Leading the celebrations was Carnival Queen Roselyn Pérez, accompanied by local artists like +Flow and Cuban Soul Band. Prominent members of the Cuban community also joined, including comedian Boncó Quiñongo, singer José El Pillo, and the charismatic Michel Valdés from the Baila con Micho academy, who also served as the official marshal of the Carnival.

The event featured a special appearance by Louisville's Mayor Craig Greenberg, who expressed his support for this initiative aimed at strengthening the bonds within the city's Latin community.

Over the course of two days, hundreds gathered to experience a unique cultural celebration filled with live orchestras, dancers, and the best of Cuban music. The atmosphere evoked the splendor of traditional island carnivals, blending nostalgia, joy, and pride in Cuban heritage.
