A Cuban woman known on TikTok as @lisiminivlog has taken to the platform to defend her long-distance relationship with her boyfriend in Cuba, following a wave of criticism on social media. "Ninety miles apart: John in Miami, my boyfriend in Cuba. We've maintained a long-distance relationship for over a year and a half. We've known each other for more than 15 years, and we share a beautiful, stable, and healthy relationship, surrounded by many supportive people who wish us well," she expressed in her post.
Despite this, she acknowledged not everyone is supportive: "There are many who dislike my relationship, who refuse to accept or understand that long-distance relationships can be genuine and heartfelt."

However, she has decided to stop engaging this way: "I don't really need that money to live, eat, travel, or for anything at all. Honestly, I have no desire to reach new audiences through those videos responding to people who ultimately add nothing to my life," she concluded.
