Cuban Woman with U.S. Visa Faces Obstacles Boarding Flight to Cuba: "Every Day There's a New Rule"

Wednesday, July 30, 2025 by Daniel Colon

A Cuban woman living in the United States took to TikTok to voice her frustration over the bureaucratic hurdles she encountered at a U.S. airport while trying to board a flight to Cuba, all because she holds a U.S. visa. "As you can see, I'm already at the airport getting ready to head to Cuba. I'm a bit nervous because I had to fill out a mountain of paperwork just because I have an American visa. Every day there's something different here," she remarked, visibly stressed, as she navigated through the airport terminal.

The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, sarcastically questioned the inconsistencies of the immigration process: "I had to ask if having an American visa meant they were going to send a plane just for me. Every day there's a new rule, you know how it is, and it stressed me out a bit."

She also expressed her bewilderment at the treatment she received and the apparent skepticism of authorities regarding her trip to the Island: "They're asking why I'm going to Cuba, even though I'm Cuban."

The video was shared on TikTok by user @yola60567 and has sparked a range of reactions among Cubans residing in the U.S., many of whom have complained about facing similar issues during their travels.
