Benicio del Toro recently made an appearance in Havana, catching the attention of locals and fans alike. On Saturday, he was seen at Yarini, a bar-restaurant owned by Cuban actor Jorge Perugorría, where he enjoyed a live performance by the band Síntesis.

The group shared a photo of the renowned Puerto Rican actor on their Facebook page, expressing their excitement: "During our show at Yarini Habana, we had the pleasure of having two significant film actors in the audience: Jorge Perugorría (Pichy) and Benicio del Toro, along with several friends."

Although del Toro used to visit the island frequently, it has been a while since his last known trip to Havana. In 2022, he attended a special event celebrating the sapphire wedding anniversary of Libia Batista Mora, ICAIC's casting director, and her husband's 90th birthday. Additionally, his visits to Havana and Gibara in 2018 were also notable.

Del Toro, well-known for his friendship with Perugorría, recently shared an amusing story about a misunderstanding with the TSA at Boston airport. While en route to Los Angeles, he was stopped due to a peculiar item in his carry-on. The script for Wes Anderson's latest movie, "The Phoenician Scheme," which he stars in, was found in his bag. The first scene was titled "Interior Airplane: Bomb," causing some alarm.
