Manhunt in Miami-Dade: Authorities Seek Man Who Stabbed Ex-Partner in Front of Child

The Miami-Dade County police have issued an urgent call to find Manuel Salgado Peña, a 53-year-old man wanted for the brutal stabbing of his ex-partner during a domestic violence incident on Thursday morning in northwest Miami. Authorities have warned that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

On Friday, the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office (MDSO) released an arrest warrant for Salgado Peña, who is facing charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, and robbery related to domestic violence. Local media reports indicate that Salgado Peña fled the scene after the attack and is known to have a residence in Southwest 143rd Lane, within the Country Walk neighborhood in the southwest part of the county.

He may be driving a white 2016 Jeep with Florida license plate GTLF29 or possibly a black 1995 Suzuki motorcycle with license plate 8027RJ. Law enforcement officials warn he might be attempting to avoid capture and stress that he poses a significant threat to the community.

The attack took place around 8:45 a.m. at a residence near Northwest 172nd Street and 94th Court. Neighbors alerted the police after hearing cries for help. Upon arrival, officers found the 48-year-old woman seriously injured on the ground. She was rushed by paramedics to Jackson Memorial Hospital North, where she received treatment for multiple critical injuries to vital organs, including her lung, liver, kidney, and heart.

Initial investigations reveal that the assault was witnessed by the victim's young daughter, heightening public outcry and condemnation of this severe act of domestic violence. According to Telemundo 51 journalist Alexis Boentes, the victim and Manuel Salgado had been in a relationship for several years before parting ways a few months ago.

A neighbor's video captured the crime scene, showing blood on the stairs and personal belongings scattered around, as well as the moment when paramedics transported the victim on a stretcher.
