The Colombian singer Karol G recently celebrated the success of her latest album in grand style, featuring a spectacular cake crafted by two Cuban pastry chefs making waves in Miami's dessert scene. Laura García and Iliana Lombardero, the wife and mother-in-law of Cuban reggaeton artist Osmani García, showcased their talent with one of their most eye-catching creations yet: a vibrant three-tier cake inspired by the tropical, urban, and dazzling themes of La Bichota's new album, Tropicoqueta.
Adorned with green leaves, leopard prints, hibiscus flowers, small drums, and a striking plume of orange feathers, this cake served as the centerpiece of an intimate gathering. The masterpiece was crafted at their bakery, Divine Delicacies Cakes, renowned in Miami for producing cakes for celebrities. "Karol G celebrates her album's success with a Tropicoqueta-themed super cake from Divine Delicacies Cakes," the pastry chefs announced on the bakery's official Instagram page.
Exuding color and creativity, the cake also embodied the "tropicoqueto" style that has become synonymous with Karol G's latest aesthetic. Through this creation, the Cuban bakers cemented their status as favorites among Latin stars in the United States. Laura and Iliana are no strangers to impressive designs; they recently crafted a Minions and dinosaur-themed cake for Marc Anthony and Nadia Ferreira's son's birthday, which the child's mother described as "the most beautiful cake."
They also amazed with a Spider-Gwen-inspired cake for Vida Isabelle, the daughter of Natti Natasha and Raphy Pina, complete with detailed illustrations of the character, webs, and bold lettering.
Recently marking their 25th anniversary, Divine Delicacies Cakes celebrated with a stunning ten-tier cake in white and silver hues, embellished with flowers, a crown, and the number 25 alongside the bakery's initials. The founders, mother and daughter, proudly posed in white next to their creation, accompanied by young Bryan, symbolizing the family's ongoing legacy.
