Recently, Flor de Cuba, a well-known influencer, addressed a critical comment on social media that accused her of being a poor role model for her son. Instead of responding negatively, she chose to turn the situation around by sharing a touching phone conversation with her child.
A follower had left a harsh remark stating, "The difference is that I can ask my two children for things due to the love and education they've received. However, you won't have those family benefits because you've never been a good mother to your son." In response, Flor posted a video of herself discussing topics like programming and quantum physics with her son, highlighting the impressive values he holds.
Her son's articulate responses were a testament to his upbringing, as he effortlessly engaged in these complex subjects. Flor didn't hold back in her rebuttal, stating, "Without the respect you deserve, a child of yours wouldn't manage a ten-minute conversation with my son. Your child will likely grow up bitter, watching a failed parent who spent time judging others instead of building a future. You are a disgrace as a parent and a human being."
At one point, visibly moved, Flor asked her son, "If God gave you the chance to be born again and choose a different mom, would you pick someone else?" Her son replied, "No, because I have the privilege of having a mom who overcame drugs and moved forward."
Flor went on to share more about her son: "My eldest is 11, has been programming since he was 9, takes classes with UCI professors, participates in local chess tournaments, is Christian, and reads the Bible daily. He knows about quantum physics and has an IQ four years above his age. He doesn’t use bad language, always thanks me for everything, and is respectful. He is loved by his community and family. He has the values and concepts of a man. And yes, he's the son of an addict... But above all, he loves, respects, understands, and accepts me."
