A Cuban woman living in Nebraska has taken to social media to express her dissatisfaction with certain aspects of Miami, particularly the way she was treated in various stores during her visit to the city. In a video posted on her TikTok account (@yai_lent), she highlighted her displeasure with the attitude of some Cuban employees at supermarket chains like Presidente and Sedano’s.
"The way Cuban employees treat you at Presidente or Sedano’s is just awful, as if they own the place. They seem annoyed to help you," she remarked. She recounted an incident where she asked to see some perfumes, and the salesperson displayed a rude demeanor, apparently irritated by her request.
She also described an awkward moment when she approached a register she thought was open, only to be harshly reprimanded by an employee: “She said, ‘Can’t you see the sign is up?’ I was taken aback... I hadn't noticed it.”
The Cuban woman contrasted this experience with the demeanor of employees in Nebraska, where she currently resides. “The employees here are incredibly polite and courteous, treating you very kindly,” she noted.
“I love Miami, but these were the things that really bothered me,” she concluded in her video, which has garnered thousands of views and mixed reactions on TikTok.
