Carlos Giménez to Submit New List of Cuban Regime Operatives to DHS

Tuesday, July 22, 2025 by Ernesto Alvarez

Cuban-American Congressman Carlos Giménez has revealed plans to present a fresh list of Cuban regime operatives, including enforcers and financial fronts, to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). His aim is to identify those who have managed to infiltrate the country. "These are well-documented allegations, and actions have already been initiated in several instances," Giménez stated on the social media platform X, consistently urging citizens to aid in identifying communists on American soil.

Over a Hundred Infiltrators

Recent reports from the Cuban exile community indicate that at least 100 individuals linked to the Castro regime have settled in the United States in recent years, particularly in cities like Miami and Tampa. This has sparked significant opposition from victims of the regime and human rights organizations. Giménez, alongside Congress members Mario Díaz-Balart and María Elvira Salazar, has demanded more rigorous actions against these individuals, urging immigration authorities to investigate and deport those who lied about their past upon entering the U.S.

Initial Outcomes: Arrests and Self-Deportations

The effects of these allegations are already being felt. On Monday, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Jorge Javier Rodríguez Cabrera in Nevada, a Cuban with connections to the Castro elite, particularly with Raúl Guillermo Rodríguez Castro ("El Cangrejo"), the grandson and bodyguard of Raúl Castro.

Another notable case involves former Cuban officer Eduardo Velázquez Infante, known as "mayor Eduardo," who voluntarily left the United States after being identified as a regime enforcer by the Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba (FDHC) and listed by Giménez. In April, ICE announced the arrest and subsequent deportation of 57-year-old Cuban national Daniel Morejón García, accused of hiding his regime ties during his immigration process. The investigation was conducted by Miami's Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) unit.
