El Carli Refutes Assault Rumors and Claims Doctor Leaked His Hospital Photo

Tuesday, July 15, 2025 by Ernesto Alvarez

Urban music artist El Carli has denied allegations circulating on social media that he was the victim of an assault, following the release of a photo showing him in a hospital bed. In a series of videos shared on his Instagram stories, the singer clarified that the incident took place while he was playing basketball, a regular Sunday activity for him. During the game, a scuffle broke out involving a close friend, and amidst the tension, El Carli slipped, hitting his head on the pavement and losing consciousness.

The reggaeton artist stressed that he was neither involved in a shooting nor attacked by anyone: "Family, I'm okay. I wasn't shot, nor was I beaten up," he assured. He also took the opportunity to express gratitude for the concern shown by his followers, who reached out to him from various places, including Cuba, to check on his well-being. "I'm perfectly fine," he reiterated to reassure his fans.

El Carli voiced his frustration over the spread of unfounded rumors and called for respect, as such news causes unnecessary worry for his family in Cuba and his supporters. The misunderstanding began with a photo of him hospitalized, which was shared on Monday by influencer Un Martí To Durako. Initially, it was reported that El Carli had been involved in a shooting, followed by claims of a beating.

Yet, the artist appeared in his Instagram stories in good health and with no visible signs of assault, confirming that the incident was merely an accident. El Carli disclosed that the hospital photo was leaked by the very doctor who treated him, a young Cuban woman he described as "flashy" and who recognized him upon his arrival. "I saw when that girl took the photo; who knows where she sent it," El Carli remarked, criticizing the doctor's professional ethics and condemning her for taking a photo without his consent and spreading false information.

“Unfortunately, that's how some Cubans are; there's no fixing it," the artist lamented, admitting he was shocked that a healthcare professional would act in such a manner.
