A fire was ignited in a Centro Habana housing complex by a child playing with a matchstick. The blaze erupted in the area of Campanario, between Ánimas and Virtudes, within the Dragones Popular Council, as reported by the Centro Habana Municipal Assembly on social media. While there were no casualties, three rooms in the complex sustained material damage. The report highlighted that the swift response of the firefighters was instrumental in controlling the fire's impact.

Municipal authorities conducted an assessment of the damage experienced by each affected family, ensuring they received prompt assistance. Just a few days prior, another fire impacted three homes in the Flor Crombet Popular Council, located in Jovellanos municipality, Matanzas province. Of these, two homes were completely destroyed, and a third suffered partial damages. Thankfully, there were no injuries or individuals trapped in the incident.

Earlier, on July 9, firefighters successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in a residence in the heart of Santiago de Cuba. No casualties were reported. At approximately 9:15 a.m., firefighters from Command 1 Martí quickly responded to and extinguished a minor fire (Q101) at a house on San Francisco Street #415, between Calvario and Carnicería.

At the beginning of the month, a devastating fire in the municipality of Güines, located in the Mayabeque province, completely destroyed three homes and resulted in one fatality, leaving the community and local officials in shock.
