Cuban singer Yulién Oviedo has stirred up controversy once again on social media by declaring himself "the greatest musical talent Cuba has ever produced." This bold proclamation came in response to the backlash following the release of “LBMA,” the second single by Ana Paloma, daughter of the late reggaeton artist El Taiger.
The track, performed by the young girl alongside Yulién, has sparked mixed reactions among social media users, with some questioning the collaboration. Undeterred, Oviedo confidently addressed the critics.
“I respect everyone's opinion, but only a genius can see what critics fail to perceive. Ana Paloma, I told you that you have the best mentor in Cuba, and your dad would be incredibly proud of your musical journey because you're under the guidance of the best. If people are speaking negatively about something positive, don't be discouraged; it means we're doing exceptionally well,” Oviedo expressed on his social media platforms.
The musician reinforced his self-assured artistic identity by reiterating, “Once again, I respect everyone's views, but talent speaks here, not conscience. Sincerely, the greatest artist that Cuba has ever produced musically.”
Accompanying his statement were images from his childhood, where he is seen playing drums with his father, the renowned Cuban musician Calixto Oviedo. These photos served as a reminder of his roots and musical journey, as he was regarded as a "child prodigy" from a young age.
Meanwhile, Ana Paloma continues to win over audiences and her late father's fans, who see her as the successor to El Taiger's legacy.
