A Cuban man has leveled accusations of defamation against the pro-government site "Con todos la Victoria," which is linked to the Cuban police. The site claimed the individual was apprehended in Matanzas for transporting 350 liters of gasoline in his vehicle. Yasniel Alderete, a percussionist from Matanzas, has publicly refuted the claims spread by state-affiliated profiles and has vocally criticized the regime.

"I'm here primarily to reassure my friends and family that I'm fine and have no problems," Alderete stated. "Secondly, everyone should report this page for spreading lies and defamation. They aim to keep the public distracted with such absurdities to prevent them from protesting about the endless hours without electricity."

Prior to Alderete's statement, his wife had already voiced her outrage against the regime-affiliated site after a report alleged that Yasniel Alderete Álvarez had been detained in Matanzas for having 350 liters of gasoline concealed in his vehicle.

The arrest, according to the site associated with the MININT (Ministry of the Interior), reportedly occurred when police officers patrolling El Naranjal noticed the suspicious volume of fuel, which Alderete could not legally justify. The report suggested he might face charges of speculation and hoarding.

However, the official account was met with skepticism by Alderete’s wife, who reacted with anger to the news being circulated. Rachel González vehemently declared that all the information was false and part of a “constant lie” perpetuated by the Cuban regime.

“Enough is enough, aren’t they tired of so many lies? When will they speak the truth?” she exclaimed in a message filled with frustration and disdain toward the authorities. She also challenged why they didn’t report on more serious crimes, adding, "Why don’t they say that the gasoline they confiscate from people is for their own use?"

This incident adds to the mounting tension in Cuba regarding the fuel shortage and the strict anti-hoarding measures, which have led to numerous arrests and complaints. The stance of Alderete’s wife highlights the mistrust present in certain sections of society toward official narratives and the government’s handling of these cases.

Other online users joined the discussion against the post, debating the truthfulness of the claims and the social context surrounding the fuel crisis on the island.
