Sandro Castro Criticizes Donald Trump: "Not Even Cristach Works for You Anymore"

Monday, June 23, 2025 by Ava Castillo

Sandro Castro, the grandson of the late dictator Fidel Castro, has once again sparked controversy with a bizarre social media message. This time, he directed his message at U.S. President Donald Trump, expressing support for migrants. "President Trump, not even Cristach works for you anymore. Don't view migrants as enemies. Your nation was built by immigrants. Not all are criminals; they earn their money honestly and help strengthen your country's economy. Give migrants a chance and life, because ultimately, Homeland is Humanity. A moment of silence for all those protests," he declared in one of his cringe-worthy videos.

This latest outburst from the unbalanced Castro heir was filmed in an empty pool at the ruins of the Ríomar building in Playa. Alongside his usual silent entourage in dark glasses, the video features Cuban flags that Sandro brandishes, his shirt unbuttoned to reveal the phrase "Strength, Latin America" painted in red across his chest. After delivering his speech and calling for silence, the grandson ends up on his knees, dramatically lamenting in pain.

The video tags the official accounts of Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar, as well as Univisión, Telemundo, and the government of Quintana Roo, Mexico.

The Grandson Who Mocks the Government

Many Cubans view Sandro Castro as an eccentric figure, a "clown," yet the young man has begun to capture attention by subtly critiquing the regime in his posts. Among his followers, some jokingly suggest he should run for "President of Cuba."

Recently, he made headlines for liking an Instagram comment mocking the current leader, Miguel Díaz-Canel. Followers interpreted this as a politically disapproving gesture towards the current government by Sandro.

In another of his recent videos, Castro celebrated Father's Day with his trademark eccentric style mixed with supposed social reflection. In an Instagram story, Sandro congratulated Cuban fathers with an unusual statement: "I used to live tucked away in some eggs. I was a tiny sperm, and then this enormous creature grew," he said, celebrating himself.

He also extended a peculiar invitation: "Happy Father's Day to those in this country, this planet, and beyond. All you elders, please, drink a Cristach and smoke a tabacach in my honor," he proclaimed.
