The Cuban government has strongly condemned the United States' recent strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran, denouncing the action as a "blatant violation of International Law" and a threat to global stability. In an official statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) on Saturday, June 22, in Havana, the administration led by Miguel Díaz-Canel expressed full support for Tehran and called for an urgent international response.

"The direct threat of U.S. aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, spurred by the genocidal government of Israel, has materialized following the cowardly bombings of the nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan," the Cuban foreign ministry's statement declared.

The Cuban reaction came a day after the U.S. airstrike, which was confirmed by President Donald Trump on social media, who claimed that the Fordow nuclear plant had been "wiped off the map." The military assault involved B-2 bombers deploying bunker-busting bombs and Tomahawk missiles launched from submarines.

The Cuban regime asserted that these strikes not only escalate the Middle Eastern conflict dangerously but also represent a severe breach of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, as the targeted facilities are under the inspection of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

In its declaration, Havana urged the United Nations General Assembly and the UN Security Council to take immediate action to halt what it described as Washington's "reckless aggression." The statement also called for a "global mobilization to restore peace."

"The U.S. government recklessly hijacks the pursuit of regional peace and drags Humanity into a crisis with unforeseeable consequences," the statement concluded.

Cuba's stance aligns with that of its strategic allies, including Russia, which has also condemned the U.S. military operation and offered diplomatic mediation, which was rejected by Trump.
