The potential for U.S. military action against Iran has once again captured global attention, following recent comments from President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, Trump stated that he has not yet made a definitive decision on whether to directly intervene in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Tehran. "I have ideas on what to do, but I haven't made a final decision because things are changing," Trump remarked from the Oval Office during a press conference that was initially set for Tuesday but postponed to Wednesday afternoon due to evolving events in the Middle East.

In his address, the President emphasized that military action remains a possibility, reiterating his longstanding stance on Iran's nuclear ambitions. He stressed, "I've been saying for 20 years, maybe more, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon... They would use it. I think they would use it," Trump asserted.

Trump, who previously claimed control over Iranian airspace and awareness of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's location, was adamant that his aim is not merely a ceasefire but a "total and complete victory," ensuring that Iran does not acquire nuclear capabilities. He criticized the Islamic Republic for not accepting what he described as a "great deal" during his tenure, stating, "They should have made that deal. Now they wish they had."

Earlier in the day, outside the White House, Trump suggested that his decision could go either way. "I might do it. I might not. Nobody knows what I'm going to do," he remarked. He added that Iran is facing significant challenges and "wants to negotiate," but lamented that they didn't do so weeks earlier: "They could have done well. They would have had a country."

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee, where he was questioned about potential attack plans. "If I had or hadn't, I wouldn't disclose it in this forum," he replied, attempting to divert attention from whether Trump had requested military strategies. Hegseth stressed that the Defense Department is working to keep multiple options ready, stating, "Our job is to be prepared with options, and that's exactly what we're doing."

However, the possibility of U.S. involvement in Israeli strikes has stirred tensions within Trump's own base. Some of the more radical voices in his movement oppose any military intervention, highlighting a clear divide over the direction of foreign policy.

The President also mentioned giving Iran a 60-day window to negotiate a nuclear deal. On day 61, Israel launched bombings against uranium enrichment facilities. "For 40 years, they've said 'Death to America,' 'Death to Israel.' They've been bullies. They're not anymore... but we'll see what happens," Trump expressed. His "unconditional surrender" message on social media was interpreted as a call for Tehran to completely abandon its nuclear program.

In response, Iran declared that it "is not a nation that surrenders."
