Former President Donald Trump recently celebrated the outcomes of a poll indicating a notable surge in his approval ratings. "Fantastic poll numbers for Trump!" he exclaimed on his Truth Social platform. In another post, he provided details about the full poll results, which were conducted by the online news agency InsiderAdvantage from June 15 to June 16.

The survey, which gathered responses from 1,000 potential voters with a margin of error of ±3.09%, revealed that 55% of participants approve of Trump's performance as president, whereas 44% disapprove. A mere 1% remained undecided or expressed no opinion.

According to pollster Matt Towery from InsiderAdvantage, the findings reinforce a pattern noticed in previous cycles. "Trump enjoys favorable ratings across all age groups, with the exception of those over 65," Towery explained. He also noted a shift among undecided voters, who constituted a larger percentage in earlier surveys.

Analyzing Support Across Different Demographics

When examined by political affiliation, Trump's approval is broken down as follows: 87.5% of Republicans, 24.2% of Democrats, and 46.4% of Independents voiced approval of his presidency. In terms of age demographics, the strongest support comes from the 18 to 39 age group (61.4%), followed by those aged 40 to 64 (54.3%). The least support is from those over 65 (37.9%).

The poll also explored opinions on foreign policy matters. A significant 74.4% of participants agreed with Trump's stance to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons by any means necessary. Only 22.9% opposed this view, while 2.7% did not express an opinion.

Contrasting Polls and Public Opinion

Despite Trump's enthusiasm, other surveys depict a more varied landscape. The latest Quinnipiac University poll from Connecticut, reported by The New York Times, indicates higher disapproval ratings and waning support for legislative initiatives championed by the former president.

In particular, his flagship proposal, the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," garnered less than 30% national support, with just 67% of Republicans in favor. This disparity across polls underscores the deep political divisions and the fluctuating public sentiment surrounding Trump, who continues to evoke strong reactions as he eyes the presidential race.
