In the early hours of June 8, a police operation led to the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in the Dragones neighborhood, located in Central Havana, Havana. The information was shared on the Facebook page El Cubano Fiel, which is aligned with the Ministry of the Interior (MININT), indicating that the arrest took place on Lagunas Street, between Galiano and San Nicolás. The suspect was reportedly involved in the street sale of "chemical," a psychoactive substance that has become increasingly common in Cuba's informal market over recent years.

According to the post, several patrol cars, referred to as a "convoy," arrived at the scene. Upon searching the suspect, officers discovered a plastic box containing papers infused with drugs. Following a thorough search of the surrounding area, the individual was placed in a patrol car and taken into custody.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation from authorities regarding the case, nor have any details about the charges or the identity of the detained individual been released.

Earlier in June, police conducted a raid in the La Corea neighborhood of San Miguel del Padrón. During this operation, they searched at least one residence, uncovering marijuana and a bag filled with several bundles of cash. The search also led to the arrest of a suspected trafficker living at the location.
