A young Cuban man, who has been confined to his home for the past ten years, will finally have the opportunity to venture outside, thanks to the generosity of a Cuban-American businessman from Miami who sent him a wheelchair. "Now I can move around, you'll see me cruising through Havana," he said, brimming with excitement.
This newfound joy is made possible by José González, a Cuban entrepreneur in the United States who frequently supports humanitarian efforts, often collaborating with comedian Limay Blanco's aid project. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I've been bedridden for nine years, hardly moving. You've saved my life, helped me get out and find comfort. You've got a great friend here," the young man expressed.
A video shared on Instagram by Limay Blanco shows the electric wheelchair, which was refurbished and given a new battery by the donor. González owns a shipping and immigration services agency, facilitating numerous donations from U.S. residents to those in need on the island.
The young man's mother also expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the life-changing gift.
