The baseball game between the teams De La Vida and La Familia Cubana, held at Miami's Tamiami Park, sparked significant controversy on social media. This was largely due to its suspension by the Miami-Dade Police after an unexpectedly large crowd exceeded the stadium's capacity. Amidst the flurry of comments and criticisms, Miguelín David, one of the event's organizers, addressed his followers and critics through his Instagram stories with a clear message.

"Talk... say... have your opinions. It doesn't matter to me; the love yesterday was so overwhelming that I don't care what anyone says. I'm with God. Anything you don't do is wrong... Yesterday, unity, love, and good vibes won. Now go create your content," wrote the influencer.

His post, along with images from the game, emphasized that the human connection and positive energy experienced at the event were more significant to him than any controversies.

Reasons Behind the Game Suspension

According to the Miami-Dade Police, although the event organizers had applied for permits, the turnout of approximately 1,500 people far exceeded the venue's capacity, leading to traffic and safety issues in the surrounding area. Journalist Javier Díaz reported for Univision that no altercations occurred and attendees behaved well, but the logistics were clearly overwhelmed.

Otaola's Criticism: "It Was Done Like in Cuba, Carelessly"

Influencer Alexander Otaola also voiced strong criticism, accusing the organizers of improvisation and not adhering to city regulations. "You didn't have the permits; you did it like in Cuba because that's how you are, because mentally, you're not in the United States. You organized this as if it were in Cuba, carelessly," he stated.

Otaola further suggested that the timing of the game was a direct provocation against his show: "They scheduled this game during my program's time slot on a weekday. Why not plan it for a Saturday, for instance... Because the idea was to try to surpass me, but they couldn't."

The host described the collaboration among Cuban influencers and artists in Miami as an attempt to "displace his show."

Despite the controversy, the event achieved its goal: bringing together Cuban artists, influencers, and the public in Miami around baseball. While some celebrate the unity within the Cuban community in Miami, others criticize the lack of organization.
