Controversy Sparks as Cuban Influencer Responds to Camila Guiribitey's Video

Friday, May 23, 2025 by Amelia Soto

Social media is ablaze after Cuban influencer Camila Guiribitey posted a video on Instagram, seemingly targeting content creators who lack originality and creativity by copying from others. Initially, many speculated that the video was aimed at Aly Sánchez, who had recently shared a similar reel. However, the true subject of Guiribitey's message was someone else entirely.

Influencer Jenisbel Acebedo took to her Instagram stories to address the contentious video, shedding light on the situation. "I spoke with Camila yesterday; her content is quite different from mine," Jenisbel explained, emphasizing that from the start of her journey in social media, she understood that these platforms are meant for inspiration. "We aren't copying anyone here. I don't understand why so many people tagged and messaged me. Don't create conflicts. I have no rivalry with Camila or any influencer," she urged.

Jenisbel further clarified, "I don't do unboxings; sometimes I'd like to, but I'm not good at them. I created content for Mother's Day because I have a mother too. Camila wasn't the one who invented making content with her mom; there are thousands of other influencers who do it. I did it with my mom because I was inspired by Mother's Day month," she remarked.

"Stop stirring controversy; there isn't any. To wrap this up, I spoke with her yesterday. I didn't feel it was directed at me. I didn't take it personally. I'm sharing this because I read the comments. It's so unpleasant. I don't understand why a woman, without knowing me, would speak about another woman; it reflects poorly on you," she emphasized.

Recently, Jenisbel began creating content with her mother, Yenin Acebedo, leading to comparisons on social media with the work of Camila Guiribitey and La Mamilover.
