Cuban singer-songwriter Lenier Mesa addressed the swirling rumors on social media concerning his alleged arrest at a hotel, following the circulation of images that appeared to show him being escorted by police officers. In a video shared this Tuesday on his Instagram account, Lenier clarified the situation, stating that it was not an actual incident.
"I want to discuss what happened yesterday. Social media is always a part of what one wants to say or discuss. I'm an artist who, thanks to God, has been very successful; people like me a lot, and I don't enjoy being involved in controversies or such things," he remarked.
Lenier, the voice behind "Cómo te pago," explained that the images causing the stir were actually from a music video he was filming, not a real police intervention. "Yesterday, we were filming a music video. Those shots were part of a video. A guy who was there recorded a scene and sent it to some influencers, which I don't know how it happened. I went to bed early, woke up, and my mom and many friends had called me concerned. But there's nothing to worry about; there's just a lot of success here," he said with a laugh.
The artist took this opportunity to express gratitude for the public's support and confirmed he is focused on his professional endeavors. He also announced plans for an upcoming European tour, which will take him to various cities across Germany and Spain.
