Chocolate MC's Startling Message from Prison Worries Fans: "Sometimes You Have to Die to Be Reborn"

Cuban reggaeton artist Chocolate MC, currently incarcerated in the United States, has stirred concern among his fans with his deeply emotional and despairing statements. In a phone call with content creator known as Papel Encara, the singer shared reflections that have sparked unease among his followers.

During the conversation, the self-proclaimed "King of the Reparteros" expressed sentiments that many perceive as signs of an emotional crisis. "It won't be long before Jose, Elvis, and El Dany are joined by Choco," he mentioned, referring to deceased artists who were influential in the Cuban urban music scene.

Maintaining a melancholic tone throughout the discussion, the performer of "Bajanda" continued, "I think, yes, I think Chocolate is in his final stage." He added, "Even I can't handle Chocolate anymore. I'm done, and I need to be happy, free, and sometimes you have to die to be reborn."

These statements have left fans worried, although some remind others on social media that this isn't the first time the artist has shown this side of himself. Chocolate MC, whose real name is Yosvanis Arismín Sierra Hernández, has had a career marked by his explosive music as well as ongoing legal and personal controversies.

Currently, he is in prison facing several charges, including hotel room robbery, possession of controlled substances (crack), criminal damage, possession of drugs and paraphernalia with intent to consume, written threats of murder and bodily harm, illegal use of a communication device, among others.
