A terrifying incident in southwest Miami-Dade resulted in three men suffering stab wounds, with one critically injured, and a suspect now in custody. This case involves allegations of theft, a frantic escape, and a dramatic arrest.

On Friday afternoon, officers from the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office apprehended Daniel López, 48, for allegedly stabbing three individuals at a residence on Southwest 16th Street and 93rd Court. The incident unfolded at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, sparked by López's claim that his wallet had vanished, which he blamed on the victims.

Investigators report that López lost his temper upon discovering his wallet was missing. Without much discussion, he accused the group and launched an attack with a knife, injuring one of the men in the head. After the assault, López fled the scene.

He was captured the following day. Detectives revealed that López leaped from a third-floor balcony at 12980 SW 246 St., sprinted to a nearby field, and hid beneath an abandoned boat. However, a search operation involving tracking dogs and a helicopter eventually uncovered his hiding spot.

López was taken into custody and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 8:25 p.m. He faces three charges of attempted second-degree murder and one count of resisting arrest without violence. "I'm going to win this case. Those three are drug addicts; I'm the innocent one," he reportedly told officers in Spanish, as stated in the police report accessed by Local 10.

According to América TeVe, the injured men are aged 31, 32, and 33. One was rushed to the hospital in critical condition by emergency services. Security cameras in the area captured disturbing footage of three men exiting a vehicle and approaching the residence, with two returning to the car moments later.

The crime scene bore unmistakable signs of violence: bloodstains on the door, scattered objects, and a sense of bewilderment among neighbors. Residents expressed concern due to frequent parties and altercations at the house, necessitating regular police presence.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
