Ernesto Pavel Riverón, a Cuban national who was reported missing after landing in Havana on a flight from the United States, has been located, according to family sources. Riverón was supposed to travel from José Martí International Airport to the province of Holguín but lost contact with his family upon arrival, causing significant concern among his loved ones.

The news of his disappearance quickly spread across the Facebook group "Revolico Holguín," where Liutanay La Rusa appealed for assistance in finding him. She later updated her post to inform everyone that they had reestablished communication. "Thanks to everyone for their kind comments and positive hopes. He has been found. He called my daughter and his mother; he had gotten lost in Matanzas and wasn't sure how to reach us. He is now on his way to Holguín," La Rusa reported.

The lack of effective official channels in Cuba for locating missing persons has forced many families to turn to social media as their primary tool for reporting and finding loved ones. This incident adds to a series of recent cases that have stirred public concern, such as the disappearance of 48-year-old Doraiky Águila in Havana. Águila, who suffers from memory loss, has been missing since March 15 in the Diez de Octubre municipality.

Although Ernesto Pavel Riverón has been found, these situations highlight the challenges Cuban families face when searching for missing relatives and underscore the urgent need for more efficient official response mechanisms.
