The Mexican Navy's training vessel, the ARM "Cuauhtémoc", is set to arrive at Havana Harbor this Monday, April 28, as part of its "Consolidation of Mexico's Independence 2025" training cruise. This marks the ship's ninth visit to Cuban waters.

Known as the "Ambassador and Gentleman of the Seas," the ship will be docked at the Sierra Maestra Cruise Terminal until April 30, according to the state-run Cuban News Agency. The public will have the opportunity to tour the vessel on April 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on April 29 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., providing a rare chance to explore this naval marvel.

The crew, consisting of 277 members—64 women and 213 men—will engage in a series of activities, including formal visits to Cuban authorities, floral tributes at monuments honoring José Martí and Benito Juárez, and exchanges with the Granma Naval Academy.

This voyage commemorates the bicentenary of the Consolidation of Mexico's Independence (1825-2025), spanning 254 days and scheduled stops at 22 ports in 15 countries. Havana is the second stop on this journey, following the departure from Acapulco on April 6.

The "Cuauhtémoc" is revered as a symbol of Mexican naval training, having educated over 40 generations of sailors. It upholds values such as honor, duty, and patriotism while maintaining the traditions of sailing, including the use of instruments like the sextant.
