A Cuban national, Ernesto Pavel Riverón, vanished after landing in Havana from the United States this past Saturday. He was supposed to continue his journey to the province of Holguín but has not been seen since, according to information from his family.

Riverón disappeared shortly after arriving at Havana's José Martí International Airport. Although he was scheduled to travel to Holguín, his family has received no further updates on his whereabouts. Liutanay La Rusa, a concerned family member, shared a post in the Facebook group "Revolico Holguín" seeking assistance.

"I'm sorry to intrude, but I urgently need to share this photo: this person has been missing since yesterday when he arrived at Havana airport on a flight, and no one has heard from him since. He was supposed to head to Holguín but hasn't shown any signs. His family, especially his daughter, is deeply worried," explained La Rusa, who identified herself as the mother of Riverón's daughter.

In response to comments on her post, Liutanay confirmed that Riverón had traveled from the U.S. to Havana. His last communication was a call before boarding the flight, and he has been unreachable since. "He hasn't called since he left for Havana and arrived at the airport; that's all we know," she added.

Living in Holguín with Riverón's daughter, La Rusa mentioned that they contacted the airport from their location in eastern Cuba. The airport confirmed Riverón's arrival but provided no additional information. "I live in Holguín with his daughter," she replied to those suggesting she visit the airport herself. "It's challenging—his family is here, and we're doing everything we can, but from this distance... I wish we had help in Havana."

Liutanay urged group members to share her post in Havana and provided a contact number, 54536857, for anyone with information about Riverón.

No further details have emerged regarding the case at the time of this report. In Cuba, where an official channel for locating missing persons is lacking, families often resort to social media to raise awareness and gather information about their missing loved ones.

Recently, the disappearance of Doraiky Águila, a 48-year-old woman who suffers from memory loss, has alarmed the community and prompted widespread searches. Águila was last seen on March 15 in the Diez de Octubre municipality. Her family has been relentless in their search for her.

Earlier this month, the family of 17-year-old Yuniel Fuentes Fernández from Santiago reported him missing in Havana for three days, further highlighting the growing concern over disappearances in the capital.
