Daddy Yankee Ends Ties with Ex-Wife Mireddys, Takes Bold Steps in Business Ventures

Thursday, April 24, 2025 by Madison Pena

Daddy Yankee is taking decisive action to close all remaining chapters with his former wife, Mireddys González, not just emotionally but also financially. The reggaeton superstar has filed a request with the San Juan Court to dissolve several businesses established during their marriage, citing irreconcilable differences in both romance and business.

Among the companies he aims to cut ties with are Los Cangris Inc., Green Wall Luxury LLC, Crabby Cottage LLC, and C & C Artistic Management Corp.. These enterprises were created to manage investments, properties, and even aspects of his artistic career. Legal documents reveal that Daddy Yankee claims González retains full control over several of these entities, including revenue from renting at least ten properties, while he remains completely sidelined.

This isn't the first time the artist has taken legal action involving his ex. In March, he filed a $250 million lawsuit against Mireddys and her sister, alleging mismanagement and financial damages related to other businesses like El Cartel Records. It seems that the divorce, finalized in February, brought more than just an end to their relationship.

Having regained control of Los Cangris Inc. last December, Daddy Yankee is now seeking to close this chapter with the court's assistance, invoking local laws that allow for the dissolution of companies when parties cannot reach an agreement. In essence, he wants a clean break with no shared accounts.

Meanwhile, Mireddys has not remained silent. Her attorney, Mayra López Mulero, argues that the case has been blown out of proportion and used to tarnish her client's public image. As for Daddy Yankee, he appears determined to clear the slate and move on to new ventures... this time, as a solo act.
