Juan Fernández-Barquín, the Clerk of Courts and Comptroller for Miami-Dade County, has unveiled the launch of "Operation Green Light." This campaign, scheduled from April 21 to May 4, aims to diminish the number of suspended driver's licenses while offering the community a chance to save on collection fees.

"This effort alleviates the burden on residents who are eager to fulfill their court-related obligations," Fernández-Barquín remarked in a statement reported by Telemundo 51. "During this timeframe, I have authorized my office to waive collection fees, allowing citizens to set up payment plans if needed, to help them regain their licenses. Our goal is to assist as many residents as possible," he added.

Driver's licenses are often suspended due to reasons such as unpaid traffic fines, failure to appear in court, or the accumulation of points, among other causes.
