Elizabeth Gutiérrez to Pursue Legal Action Against Privacy Infringements Following William Levy Controversy

Friday, April 18, 2025 by Joseph Morales

Actress and model Elizabeth Gutiérrez has announced her intention to initiate legal proceedings against individuals who violate her privacy rights. She specifically targets certain media figures who, under the guise of free expression, have shared information she deems "inaccurate, false, and biased."

A statement released on April 18 by the legal firm Pous Abogados reveals that Gutiérrez has fallen victim to a systematic campaign of defamation, discrimination, and media violence aimed at undermining her public image and affecting her family environment. "Rights to privacy, personal life, honor, reputation, prestige, and self-image are non-negotiable," the statement asserts, while also criticizing those who label themselves as "reporters" and use journalism as an excuse to infringe upon fundamental rights.

This announcement emerges during a particularly sensitive time for Gutiérrez, amidst the legal troubles facing her former partner and the father of her children, actor William Levy. Levy was arrested earlier this week on charges of intoxication, disorderly conduct, and trespassing following an incident at a restaurant. Although the statement does not directly reference the controversy surrounding William Levy, it seems the media pressure on Elizabeth's personal life may have reached a tipping point.

Gutiérrez's legal team accuses some media figures of acting with a "personal, subjective, and consistently misogynistic bias, designed to incite hatred, denigrate her achievements, and violate her dignity." They warn that any further attempts to abuse or intrude upon her private life will be met with decisive legal action.
