Relatives of a Cuban woman, whose whereabouts have been unknown since last Thursday, are urgently seeking assistance to locate her. “She is my neighbor and has been missing since Thursday the 9th. If anyone sees her, please contact these numbers: 59368597, 53440150, or 53965120. Her family is desperate,” wrote Leslie Arredondo on Facebook.

In the comments section of that post, friends identified the woman as “Yeni.” The woman is a mother of two daughters and lives in the Abel Santamaría neighborhood, in the Boyeros municipality of Havana.

“I saw her the day before yesterday near the corner of Los Abelitos, I think she was wearing the same clothes,” said one user. Another added, “Hi, she was seen in Mariana on 126 and 65.”

As of the publication of this article, no further details about her case have been reported. Reports of missing Cubans have become increasingly frequent in recent months, along with social media pleas for help in obtaining information, amid a context of growing violence in the country.

Currently, the search continues for another young mother, Karildi Marín, who has been missing since the night of December 14, 2023. That evening, the 24-year-old, who lives in Párraga in the Arroyo Naranjo municipality of Havana, attended a party in Cerro and her family has not heard from her since.

Additionally, Lali Paola Moliner, a three-year-old Cuban girl from the Bahía neighborhood in Habana del Este, has been missing since March 3, two months ago. In this case, the child was last seen with her mother, whose body was found on March 4 on the coast of Cojímar.

The case of Maydeleisis Rosales Rodríguez is also striking, as the teenager has been missing for almost three years in Havana.
