Charly & Johayron took to social media to share their excitement about receiving RIAA platinum and gold certifications for several of their tracks. "With God’s blessing, we can now say that we are among the biggest artists to emerge from the island," they stated in their Instagram stories. "We will continue working to achieve even more," they added in their celebratory message, concluding with thanks to their fans and record label.
The songs that have been awarded platinum status include "Mi mentirosa," "Cupido" featuring El Taiger, and "Mi lugar favorito." Meanwhile, "Montaña rusa" and "Funimate," featuring Pokercito, have received gold certifications.
However, Charly & Johayron are not the only Cuban artists recently recognized in the latest RIAA listings that highlight success in the music industry. Oniel Bebeshito earned a gold record for "Hacha", "Imagínate conmigo", and "Manguera".
Additionally, Fixty Ordara and Ja Rulay, who disbanded as a duo last October, received a platinum record for "Todo está Ok", and gold for "Vete lejos" as well as their collaboration with Wow Popy and Wampi titled "Pornosotros 2".
El Kimiko and Michel Boutic, also from Planet Records like the aforementioned artists, have each earned two gold records with "Me Mataste" and "El campeón". El Chulo and Wow Popy also appear multiple times in the listings. "La Triple M", by Mawell, also received a platinum record in February.
