The telecommunications monopoly of Cuba, Etecsa, has reported that from next May 25 the access code to call abroad directly will be 00, and to do so through the operator will be 012, revealed the station Radio Ciudad del Mar.

At this time, to make a direct call from Cuba to another country using a landline, dial 119 first, and if a cell phone is used it is done either with 119 or with 00.

Now, both networks are unified and will always dial 00, regardless of whether the plus + symbol is also written on the mobile network.

In relation to the service through the International Operator, which currently has different numbers in the country, code 012 will be applied at the national level, with the exception of some analogue areas that still exist and that currently maintain their current numbering.

Etecsa emphasizes that the changes will not affect the calls that are received from the outside.

For more information, you can call the Commercial Information service, dialing 118.
