The American Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) wants to acquire the Cuban vaccine developed by the Center of Molecular Immunology (CIM), in Havana, CimaVax, a therapeutic vaccine, attacking proteins that allow a tumor to continue to grow, prevents proliferation by the body and helps to prolong life in patients.
The doctors of the institution hope to receive approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA for its acronym in English) to use the Cuban drug in the treatment of sick Americans.

A few months ago the Roswell Park Institute signed an agreement with the CIM in Havana to make the appropriate clinical trials in patients in this region and validate its potential in hospitals.
