Cuba and Spain today expressed their will to strengthen their parliamentary ties in the context of the official visit here by President of the Congress of Deputies of the European nation, Jesus Posada.
Posada, who came at the head of the parliamentary delegation of his country, met with President of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, Esteban Lazo.
During the meeting, Posada said that this visit - which he evaluated very positively- had the aim of strengthening ties with the island, “we want to approach, meet postures, discuss and further strengthen relations,” he said.
For his part, Lazo considered that such a visit of the Spanish delegation is of particular importance and he hopes that this will contribute to the promotion of institutional links between the parliaments of the two countries.
