Donald Trump is at the head of the Republican race for the presidential nomination
US billionaire Donald Trump, continues to lead Republican candidates who aspire to represent their party in the elections of 2016, according to a CNN poll released on Sunday, beating Jeb Bush and adding support in the last month despite several controversial statements.
Trump had the support of 18 percent of Republicans in the CNN poll, conducted after his criticism of the July 18 against Senator John McCain war record.
"There is a movement underway. This goes beyond me," said Trump on CNN's "State of the Union", saying that the poll results were not a surprise. "People are tired of these incompetent politicians in Washington who cannot solve anything."
Seventeen Republicans are in competition for the presidential letter of the party in the elections of November 2016.
