Jose Canseco, Major League Baseball star, is recovering after accidentally taking a shot on a hand inside his home in Las Vegas. Lt. Mark Reddon, the Metropolitan Police, said officers came after a report that someone had accidentally shot shortly after 2:30 pm on Tuesday.
Reddon said the former player for the Oakland told police he was cleaning his gun in the kitchen when the gun went off, hitting him on the finger of the left hand. Canseco was taken to the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada.
Canseco hit 462 home runs in his career and was elected six times to the All Star Game. He also played for Texas, Boston, Toronto, Tampa Bay, the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox during a career that spanned from 1985-2001.
