Cuba defeated  to the United States on Thursday by 3 sets to 1 and qualified for the final of women's volleyball tournament of the Pan American Games Guadalajara-2011, which will play Thursday against the winner of the match between Brazil and the Dominican Republic.

The Cubans, current Pan American champion and reached the semifinals of Guadalajara-2011 after leaving the road to Peru (3-0) in the quarterfinals on Tuesday, defeated the Americans with partial 25-17, 25-16, 25 -27, 25-21 in one hour and 35 minutes.

Yoanna Palacios with 26 points, 24 of them on offense and two with his service, was uncontrollable for the U.S. blockade and was the main offensive weapon sextet led by Juan Carlos Gala, which seeks to retain the achieved gold medal four years ago in Rio de Janeiro.

The South Americans beat the Canadians with partial 26-24, 18-25, 25-22, 25-19, in one hour and 38 minutes
