The system that became Hurricane Dora developed into a tropical depression Monday morning and quickly became a tropical storm. Dora reached hurricane strength Tuesday evening and continued to strengthen until it reached a peak intensity of 155 miles per hour (a category 4 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale) Thursday morning.

Dora began to weaken fairly quickly on Friday and became a tropical storm Friday evening. Dora continued to weaken through the weekend and was declared a remnant low Sunday afternoon.
