All of these performers have a long history and body of work in the most prestigious performing groups in Cuba such as Los Muñequitos de Matanzas, Grupo Afro-Cuba de Matanzas, Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba, Raices Profundo, Grupo Clave y Guaguanco, Yoruba Andabo, Cutumba, Ban Rra Rra, and more.

Performers include Lazaro Galarraga, Ana Perez, Sandy Perez, Roman Diaz, Danis “La Mora” Perez, Rogelio Kindelan, Susana Arenas, Miguel Bernal, Jesus Diaz, plus John Santos, Michael Spiro, David Penalosa, and Howie Kaufman.

This is the culminating event of the annual Explorations in Afro-Cuban Dance and Drum program, a week long series of workshops on the north coast of California at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California from July 23-July 30th.
