By: Ileana Ferrer Fonte.09:08Mexico City, Jul 21 (Prensa Latina) The 22nd Pastors for Peace caravan arrives in the port city of Tampico, on Thursday, where they will board ships to Cuba with over 100 tons of humanitarian aid collected in 130 U.S. cities. After arriving in Mexico, the group of more than 100 activists reaffirmed its defiance of the U.S. blockade of Cuba, saying "love is our license," in memory of the late Rev. Lucius Walker Jr.

The aid for Cuba carried by the U.S. Cuba Friendship Caravan includes medicine, computer equipment, school supplies, portable solar panels and 14 vehicles.

After concluding custom procedures, the peace activists met with Cuba solidarity organizations in Cuba, as well as with students and workers from the University of North Tamaulipas.

According to Helen Bernstein, acting coordinator of the organization, U.S. authorities confiscated seven computers at the border.

For Bernstein, the seizure was not new, because U.S. customs authorities confiscated several computers during last year's crossing into Mexico.

The group, which will visit Cuba July 22-30, expects to meet with students, artists, scientists and farmers, and to attend the graduation of 20 U.S. young people from the Latin American School of Medicine.
