World Baseball ChallengeHAVANA, CUBA.-  Cuba came from two runs down in the seventh inning to beat host Canada 9-4 on Tuesday and in the process remained undefeated in four outings at the World Baseball Challenge, which is under way in the Canadian city of Prince George.

In the seventh inning, trailing 1-3, the Cuban team scored eight runs to seal their fourth consecutive victory of the event. Cuba’s 10-hit attack included five homeruns: two by Alfredo Despaigne and one apiece by Yuliesky Gourriel, Rudy Reyes and Ariel Pestano.

Right hander Alberto Soto took the win with an excellent relief in 3 2/3 innings.

In their previous three games, Cuba edged the Japan Toshiba Baseball team 4-3, beat the Chinese Taipei National Team 6-3, and routed the Beijing Tigers 10-0. (ACN)
