HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 29 (acn) North Korean Vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly Yang Hyong Sop sent congratulations to Cuba for the 52 anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

The official met with Cuban diplomats in Pyongyang where he ratified the Korean Worker’s Party and the government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to strengthen relations with Cuba.

He said he was convinced these ties will improved in the future and thanked Cuba for the activities carried out to mark the 50 anniversary of bilateral relationships, reported the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website.

Cuba’s ambassador to DPRK José Manuel Galego Montano thanked the Korean people for their active support of Cuban demand to the ending of the 50-year-long US economic, financial, economical and financial blockade and for the release of the five Cuban antiterrorist unjustly incarcerated in the United States since 1998.

Gerardo Hernandez, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino and René González, the Cuban Five as they are known internationally, were caught in Miami and absurdly charged on espionage.

Their true mission was to monitor the activities of Florida-based terrorist organizations that have carried out actions against Cuba for five decades, causing the death or injuries to over 5000 Cubans, besides losses in the millions to the economy.
