 The XV edition of the International Dance Festival in Urban Landscapes, Old Havana a city in movement, will be made from the 7 and until the 11 of April in this capital city.

Isabel Bustos, director of the group Retazos and of the meeting, highlighted the vitality of the festival, which this time gathers together artists from 17 European and Latin American countries in a dynamic in which the inhabitants and the architectonic environment are playing a leading role.

The opening of the event will be the seven of April at 9pm at the Madera Street of the Armas Square, where Isabel Bustos will premiere the work Quimeras, while during next mornings will be held masterly classes and workshops in the afternoons.

The group Giganteria will be the guide of the public, leading them through streets, museums and places where the shows will be held.

Alberto Vargas, director of the French company Association Manifeste, highlighted the singular energy expressed regarding Havana, between artists and passers by, an aspect that captivate the attention of many foreign visitors.

A main point of the event will be concert of the Spanish singer Julia Leon, who will show the qualities of the Sephardi music on the 10 of April, from 7pm, at the Fine Arts National Museum.

From today it is held the video dance meeting by Danza Habana movimiento y ciudad at the Lumiere movie theater, which starts with a tribute to Alicia Alonso, director of the Cuban National Ballet.

Dance in urban environment also includes arts plastic exhibitions, with the participation of the famous Ecuadorian artist Pilar Bustos, who will show watercolor paints and drawings at the Las Carolinas theater, seat of the Retazos group.
