Sponsored by the UN Education, Science and Culture Organization, scientists from Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Chile, Costa Rica, Spain, Angola, the United States and Cuba, as a host, are attending the meeting.
The forum's agenda includes a workshop "Environment education in teacher training," by Mexicans Perla Campos and Guadalupe Loza. Colombians Adriana Gallego and Edgar Castro will speak on "Energy instruction in the country."
The teaching of mathematics will be another central issue with a panel by Cubans Eduardo Rodriguez and Jose Ramos on how to contribute to the development of the students' logical thinking through a solution of exact sciences' problem.
To increase symposia program on chemistry and biology, and the dissemination and popularization of sciences are also on the agenda.
The 11th International Workshop on the teaching of physics, with panel discussions about learning in intermediate level, is taking place parallel to this event.
With the motto "To learn sciences to use them for human improvement," the congress will be held until Friday at the Havana's Conference Center.
