Mexican and Michoacano Movements of Solidarity with Cuba are making preparations for the 15th national meeting of solidarity with the Caribbean country, to take place in Morelia, capital of Michoacan state, during the upcoming weekend.
"It will be a very well-attended event, and buses will depart for the event's venue from Mexico City and Nayarit, Zacatecas, Jalisco, Guerrero and Oaxaca states," Peter Gellert, one of the coordinators of the meeting, told Prensa Latina.
The forum is aimed at redoubling the support to a revolution of 51 years of existence, as a "ray of hope and example to the peoples of Our America," said the text.
It can also contribute to "define tasks and take different actions against the US economic and commercial blockade on the Caribbean country," the note said.
The campaign for the release of the five Cuban heroes, imprisoned in the US for protecting their country from terrorist plans by the South Florida ultra-right wing is also another topic of the meeting agenda.
We will also seek coordination of efforts to extend the benefits of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), said Guellert.
