Cropping a 3 meter and 45 centimetre long yucca is really unusual, but Cuban farmer Miguel Antonio Avila Cordova living in the rural town of Bocas, in the municipality of Gibara, Holguin province, took his neighbours by surprise these days when exhibiting his long pipe like vegetable.

Tono, as everyone calls him, said that while working in his lot which he calls La Cervantia he began to remove the soil but realized the vegetable was longer than supposed.

That is why; he went on digging and digging restlessly until an 18 month old yucca showed up before his eyes.

"I never thought it could be so huge, 3 meters and 45 centimetres long, but if you measure its curves it might reach three meters and sixty centimetres long," said the proud peasant.

Tono has cropped sweet potatoes of up to 10 pounds of weight, but he also grows sugar cane, avocado, pumpkin and bananas in this farm. .

May be this yucca could set a Guinnes record and if not it might rank among the biggest ones in the world.
